WHO WE ARE - THE FORTRESS LOUISBOURG ASSOCIATION
We are a proud, non-profit, charitable, membership-driven organization. The Fortress Louisbourg Association works with Parks Canada in ways that ensure the commemorative and ecological integrity of the Fortress of Louisbourg National Historic Site is sustained for present and future generations. Founded in 1976, our three period restaurants, bakery, coffee shop, and two gift boutiques help visitors understand, appreciate and enjoy the largest reconstructed 18th century French fortified town in North America.
The revenue the Fortress Louisbourg Association generates is used to support the Children’s Animation Program, and a variety of visitor experiences, and services.
Our Mission
We will work to foster a greater appreciation of Canada and the history and culture of the Fortress of Louisbourg through tangible sensory experiences. We will nurture positive relationships with local communities to provide exciting learning opportunities and exceptional visitor services.
Our Vision
With sound human resources and revenue management decisions, position and sell the Fortress of Louisbourg through development and through delivery of quality experiential products and services.
