With a fiery fiddling style rooted in Cape Breton Island’s rich musical heritage and a deep connection to the old songs of the Mi’kmaq, Morgan’s performance is a testament to his brilliance and heart. His award-nominated debut album, “First Flight,” is a celebration of language and heritage, where he masterfully transforms traditional songs like the Ko’jua and the Mi’kmaq Honour Song while infusing them with highly original songcraft.
Keith Mullins, a true son of Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, is a music veteran with 25 years of experience in the East Coast music scene. His professional journey began at the young age of 15, and he has shared the stage with legends like Matt Anderson and Ron Hynes. Keith’s accolades, including two ECMAs and six Music Nova Scotia awards, demonstrate his exceptional talent. His two-time Musician of the Year recognition is a testament to his undiscovered gem status. With over 250 shows per year, Keith’s music touches hearts far and wide. His latest album, “Onward and Upward,” features collaborations with artists like Matt Anderson, Gordie Sampson, Meaghan Smith, and Classified.
Ryan Roberts, the versatile musician hailing from Eastern Canada, is renowned for his excellence in writing, performing, and producing music. With a diverse range of musical styles, from bluegrass to jazz, Ryan has earned the title of “Songwriter of the Year” five times and was a key member of the Grammy-nominated bluegrass band Special Consensus. Having spent time in Nashville, Ryan has now returned to the East Coast, ready to expand his musical horizons and collaborations. His alliance with Morgan and Keith promises an exceptional musical journey.
