What will I do on my retreat?

We have planned a balance between fun activities, information sessions and cultural exploration for the Ladies of Louisbourg retreat.

Where will this event be taking place?

The Ladies of Louisbourg: Autumn Equinox Retreat is being held at the majestic Fortress of Louisbourg National Historic Site, in Louisbourg Nova Scotia.

How do I get to there?

For directions on how to get to Fortress of Louisbourg National Historic Site, please visit our website: https://parks.canada.ca/lhn-nhs/ns/louisbourg/visit/directions.

Do you plan to host additional women's retreats?

This is our first retreat, but we hope to do more in the future. Upcoming events will be added to our website.

What do I need to bring?

Accommodations are the Kings Bastion Barracks. That means we are having a slumber party! We will provide the bed, lantern lighting, etc. You will need to bring your own sleeping bag (or bedding) and a pillow.

All meals are included with this event, including dinner and breakfast. Dinner will be food trays of bread, veggies, fruit, cheese, etc. Breakfast will be continental style with juice, coffee, tea, baked goods, yogurt, etc. If you would like additional food, please feel free to bring it! Alcoholic beverages are separate.

Yoga classes are included at this retreat for Sunday morning. Please bring your own yoga mat. If you don't have one, we have limited quantities available for use.

Dress in layers. Temperatures in Louisbourg are often colder than in Sydney and we are famous for our fog! Please dress and pack accordingly.
