This position is perfect for students who enjoy early mornings, working with their hands, and being part of a historic experience.
As an 18th-century baker, you\u2019ll start wood-fired ovens, bake fresh bread daily, and interact with visitors while wearing traditional period attire. If you\u2019re outgoing, love history, and want to make unforgettable memories this summer, we want to hear from you!

\u2022 Start and maintain wood fires in stone ovens for baking.
\u2022 Measure, mix, and roll dough to bake fresh bread each day.
\u2022 Operate stone ovens with care and attention to safety.
\u2022 Engage with visitors by sharing stories about the King\u2019s Bakery and its historical context.
\u2022 Handle customer transactions and maintain a daily sales log.
\u2022 Keep the bakery space tidy and organized.
\u2022 Wear and properly maintain period-appropriate costumes.
\u2022 Provide general information about the Fortress of Louisbourg and promote other experiences, including restaurants, gift shops, and evening programming.

\u2022 Reliable transportation to the Fortress of Louisbourg.
\u2022 Availability for early mornings, weekdays, and weekends.
\u2022 A positive and outgoing attitude.

\u2022 Ability to stand for prolonged periods and perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and carrying heavy items in a safe manner.
