Children’s & Apprentice Programs

CHILDREN’S PROGRAM

Our Children’s Animation Program aims to capture a hands-on historical learning experience with fun, creativity, exploration, and games to participants.

To enrol in the children’s program, children must be members of the Fortress Louisbourg Association, be between the ages of 5 and 12, and have completed at least one year of primary school.

YOUTH APPRENTICE PROGRAM

An exciting way to learn what it was like for peasant teenagers in New France that will only take up one week of your summer break from school.

To enroll in the apprentice program, students must be members of the Fortress Louisbourg Association and be between the ages of 13 and 16.

CHILDREN’S DROP-IN PROGRAM

Our Children’s Drop-in Program gives regular visitors the chance to enroll their child into our popular Children’s Program for 90 minutes of historical learning and fun.  The Drop in Program operates on weekdays from 1pm – 3pm with sign up located at the McLennan Center Building next to the Virtual Reality Experience.  While their child is playing with the other children, parents are free to explore the site or take in a program.

Pick up is located at McLennan Center between 2:45pm and 3:00pm.  The cost of this program is $30 per child.
